What the cleaning deposit covers, and what it does not
The deposit is held, not taken. What you have to clear, by when, and exactly how you get it back.
The cleaning deposit is held against the unit being emptied and swept, and it is held rather than taken — it is not a fee and it is not part of the purchase price.
You get it back in full when the facility signs off that the unit is clear. That sign-off happens at the same joint inspection where the clearance is recorded, so in the ordinary case you are not waiting on anything after you drive away.
What the deposit is for is the case where a unit is left part-emptied. Items you decide you do not want are still yours the moment the sale completes, and disposing of them is your cost, not the facility's.
The exact amount and the number of days you have to clear are both platform configuration rather than fixed numbers, so the figures shown on your own auction are the ones that apply to it.
